The Nedumchira Kudumbayogam was established in 1990 as an association for the Nedumchira family members worldwide, with the purpose of fostering unity, cooperation, and mutual support. The group holds meetings every three months to encourage common interests, and every year during the Christmas holidays, all family members come together for the annual celebration of the Nedumchira Kudumbayogam.

 

The Nedumchira family has a historical background spanning over eight generations, and it is common among Knanayaites for members of one family to belong to different Christian denominations. Despite this, every Knanayaites takes pride in belonging to a traditional community with a unique and rich culture, which could be one of the major factors behind the formation of the Nedumchira Kudumbayogam to keep its members united in love. The organization publishes several helpful resources for its members, which are available through the publications committee, including a directory that contains names and addresses of each family member.
