Kanjooparambil
Late Thoma Vadackakam, the eldest son of Thomman Thomman Nedumchira, established the Vadackakam branch of the Nedumchira family when he and his family resided at the Vadackakam house. Meanwhile, Thoma's second son, Abraham Vadackakam, resided at a separate property called Kanjooparambil, which led to the creation of the Kanjooparambil branch of the Nedumchira family. Later, Thoma (Kanjooparambil), the eldest son of Thoma Vadackakam, sold the Vadackakam property and joined his younger brothers, Abraham Vadackakam and Rev. Fr. Joseph Nedumchira, at Kanjooparambil house.
Late Rev. Fr. Joseph Nedumchira, a prominent figure in the history of the Nedumchira family, was born on December 21, 1904. He became a priest on December 22, 1931, at the O.S.H. (Oblates of Sacred Heart) Monastery, and served as a vicar in several parishes of the Diocese of Kottayam, as well as the rector of the S.H. Mount Boarding School in Kottayam. He was also a renowned Malayalam writer and poet. Rev. Fr. Joseph Nedumchira passed away on August 9, 1980, and was laid to rest at the Nedumchira Palli, the cemetery church of the Good Shepherd Church in Chengalam South.

Joseph Nedumchira's notable literary works include "Raktha kanthi," "Nagamardhini," "Chaarithravijayam athava Susanna," "Karunamkuram," "Bharatha prekshithan athava St.Thomas," "Kananasoonam athava visudha Alphonsa," "Sukritheendran," "Marydasan," "Dharmadheeran," "Dharmapathni athava Dheenamma," "Pulakam," "Thapthabashpam athava Margret," "Sathyathmajan," "Abagnamudra," and "Sleevapatha."
